Experts gather in Wichita to discuss Kansas' first internet exchange point and AI implications

National and international experts in internet infrastructure will converge Thursday at Wichita State University's Innovation Campus to discuss how incoming faster, low-cost internet will benefit companies and expand on the use of artificial intelligence in Kansas.

The AI Interconnection Summit: Network Infrastructure for A Leadership in Kansas and Beyond, will run from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the NetApp building located at 1850 Innovation Blvd. It is free to attend.

The topic of discussion will be around the state's first Internet Exchange Point, or IXP, which broke ground in May at the northwest corner of 21st Street and Fountain Avenue, across from Eck Stadium.
